a surprise came in the mail this week from grandma and grandpa in iowa! they were just at the iowa game in iowa city last weekend and made it by the hawk shop where they purchased this adorable little hawkeye outfit for michael john.
we don't think that it is mere conincidence that the michael john has arrived just in time to sport his hawkeye colors each game day and the fact that the hawkeyes are undefeated... but we're just sayin'....
each day that i get to be home with our little guy is such a blessing
. i love everything about being a mommy. i love watching michael john as he continues to become more aware and alert. everything is exciting, even though to most these little details would seem insignificant. i love seeing him look at me, but especially watching him look at his daddy. i love watching him fall asleep. 
no matter what he is doing, it is a precious moment that i am blessed to have witnessed. after his bath today, he fell asleep snuggling in his lamby bouncer seat. later on he sat for quite some time just looking out the window while he rocked in his swing until he quietly fell asleep. i love this little guy.
michael john is such a happy baby! this was right after his bath and he was just all smiles. so precious! it just fills my heart overflowing when he smiles at me or his daddy!
the cutest hawkeye fans! as always on game day, the boys and i sported our hawkeye gear and cheered them on to another victory! 
today was a perfect day for dad to take his newly painted rover out for a drive with the top off. 
in its
original marine blue, matilda looks sharper than ever.
after i got to go for a cruise with dad, taylor wanted a turn to go for a drive with grandaddy too. she said it was "awesome"! i would have to agree.

a wedding weekend to remember
craig and i still can't stop talking about how perfect our wedding was and how blessed we were to share it with our loved ones! while anxiously awaiting our wedding photos, we thought we would start a little blog to share some of our favorite photos and to keep you updated on our adventures! our honeymoon was a wonderful way to start off our life of adventures! we were very spoiled, with a balance of funny and humourous anecdotes that make for great memories!

craig and i had the most wonderful honeymoon in cancun at the 'cancun royal all-inclusive spa & resort". we were very -spoiled - mostly getting to spend so much time together - but the swim up bar, 24-hour room service, amazing view, and cabana beds overlooking the turquois ocean only added to our bliss!
