today was a perfect day for dad to take his newly painted rover out for a drive with the top off. 
in its
original marine blue, matilda looks sharper than ever.
after i got to go for a cruise with dad, taylor wanted a turn to go for a drive with grandaddy too. she said it was "awesome"! i would have to agree.

taylor's favorite ride at the fair was the swings... all four times!
michael john loves snugglin' with his nana. i don't blame him. i have the best mom ever.
i have quickly discovered that michael john loves to listen to music! here he is laying in his bassinet listening to "lead me to the cross" from hillsong off of my ipod. it is so cool how the praise and worship music captures his attention.
need we say more?? so everyone keeps asking how tico is handling michael john's arrival.... i think this picture answers the question perfectly! our sweet little tico not only is super protective when we have guests, comes and sits by us when he hears baby crying to make sure he is okay, but he also likes to sit near michael john and snuggle.
his smile says it all! four weeks old today :) so we decided to celebrate by going out for a walk and testing out his new jogging stroller. fortunately we caught one of the brief sunny afternoons after a rainy week. michael john took advantage of the ride and soaked up the sun, which he loves!
michael john loves being in his daddy's arms. he also loves our blue bathroom. something about our bright blue bathroom brightens our little blue eyed boy! 
after plenty of practice, taylor is all about tying her own shoes now...and daddy's shoes...and momma sarah's shoes....and tico's...wait...tico doesn't wear shoes... and michael john is still in socks! but she is ready to tie any shoe that needs tying!
michael john really enjoys swinging in his new swing! it has been fun watching him gradually start to notice things. tonight he really seemed to notice the little dangling owl and
puppy on his swing. i couldn't help but really notice our little guy's feet! too cute!
michael john and i were hanging out with nana tonight and when he got sleepy it seemed like a perfect opportunity for him to nap in their crib, which was also the crib that my brother, john, and i used. nana and grandaddy found a cute little mobile, which michael john loved watching. 
with a hint of fall in the air, we took off for the park and broke in our new baby bjorn. michael john seemed perfectly content snuggled up in it and enjoyed the beautiful afternoon. he seems to love the outdoors! 
i absolutely LOVE being a mommy and i couldn't have a better husband to share in this joy with!
so maybe he napped a bit during the game, but what guy doesn't on a sunday afternoon at home? either way, he arrived just in time to kick off the season with his football lovin' mom and dad :)
the humphrey crew is growing and happier than ever!
craig and i cannot stop admiring our beautiful little michael john. every time we look at him, it seems it is worthy of another picture. the way he is snuggled...the expression on his face...everything about him is beautiful...
it was such a treat having kristen up from miami! obviously michael john is pretty happy to see her too!
a wedding weekend to remember
craig and i still can't stop talking about how perfect our wedding was and how blessed we were to share it with our loved ones! while anxiously awaiting our wedding photos, we thought we would start a little blog to share some of our favorite photos and to keep you updated on our adventures! our honeymoon was a wonderful way to start off our life of adventures! we were very spoiled, with a balance of funny and humourous anecdotes that make for great memories!

craig and i had the most wonderful honeymoon in cancun at the 'cancun royal all-inclusive spa & resort". we were very -spoiled - mostly getting to spend so much time together - but the swim up bar, 24-hour room service, amazing view, and cabana beds overlooking the turquois ocean only added to our bliss!
